Nevena Mihajlovic, born on February 27, 1991., has been interested in dance since she was a child, and has been involved in various types of dances - folklore, hip-hop, latin dances, as well as karate and fitness. She found her greatest love and interest in oriental dance. She first encountered this dance at the age of fifteen with instructor Kristina Petrović, who taught her first steps in the most beautiful way; then, after a short break she continued with instructor Olga, who awakened her creativity and brought this dance closer to her in a very unusual way. At the Vitsaveja dance school, where she danced for two years with instructor Daniela, she met Iris and Jana, with whom she developed a wonderful friendship, and in 2010, the three of them formed Trio Salome, with whom she has the most beautiful memories and a strong bond that continues today.
In 2011, Iris started giving dance lessons, and Nevena in 2012. Iris found herself more in modern fusions and Nevena in classic Egyptian style, which is a perfect combination. Nevena perfects herself at the workshops of the best master instructors in the country and abroad, then through individual lessons with recognized instructors, as well as at ballet classes. Nevena has been organizing theater concerts, oriental workshops and other events for years. She is most proud of the Waves of Orient project, because through that festival, she shares her love for dance with colleagues, friends and brings her ideas closer to the audience.
She also meets big stars and brings them to her city, thereby contributing to the development of both his school and the entire dance community. Her biggest inspiration are her students, with whom she has a very close relationship, and their trust and harmony motivate her to always go one step further. In addition to stage performances, Nevena is also engaged in performances of an entertaining character in cafes, restaurants, celebrations, through which she had the opportunity to collaborate and meet our biggest stars from the world of variety shows and tour various cities.
Her role models are her colleagues, friends and close associates Inessa Aruena, Diana Gnatchenko, Anna Balabanova, Julija Farid, Veronika Shulkevich, Marina Shishkova, Sahar Samara, Randa Kamel, Tito Seif, David Abraham.
